We call it shelf "Thickness" this always refers to height of the timber used to make your shelf.

22cm | Depth

Our "Depth" is always measured from the wall to the front edge of the shelf. (This is key to knowing what you can put on your shelf.) 

Floating Rod

These fixings are hidden inside the shelf, creating the "Floating Shelf". 
  • Floating Shelf Brackets - Two solid steel concealed fixing rods are included. (130 & 140cm lengths supplied with 3 rods per shelf for extra strength).

  • Wall Plugs - 10mm Solid wall plugs (unfortunately we do not supply plasterboard wall plugs).

  • Fitting Instructions - Enclosed are our detailed instructions on how to install the shelf.

Each shelf can hold up to 35kg. Our floating shelves are only suitable for solid walls.

We supply all the brackets & fixings you need for a quick, secure installation along with a step by step installation booklet.

Our floating shelf fixings are only suitable for solid walls.

  • Every floating shelf comes with predrilled holes in the back of the shelf (13mm Diameter).

  • Every shelf is hand drilled & checked, ensuring the floating rods are a secure snug fit.

  • The Concealed rods are 12mm Diameter x 120mm Length. They screw into the wall by 65mm Length.

  • Our Floating fixing rods are designed with an offset CAM.

This means there is 10mm of adjustment. To adjust the shelf level, use a 10mm spanner to spin the rod.

All of our sustainable wooden products are Handcrafted from our workshop in West Sussex, England.

  • All our wood comes from 100% sustainably managed forests.

  • All our wood is Kiln Dried to a moisture content of under 10%.

  • We only use Northern Scandinavian pine sourced from FSC-certified suppliers.

  • Every length of rustic timber is hand picked to preserve as many rustic characteristics as possible. These include unique grain patterns, rustic saw marks, wood splits & sanded edges which has now become our trademark style.

We use an Osmo Oil Natural Woodstain finish on all our Outdoor Garden wooden products.

  • Offers a durable, long lasting finish & provides excellent weather protection.

  • The oil intensifies the grain pattern whilst protecting the timber.

  • UV filters protect against the greying effects of sunlight.

  • Contains active ingredients to protect against mould, algae and fungal attack.

We recommend either keeping your outdoor garden furniture inside or under cover during the winter months to further protect the timber. We recommend applying a coat of Osmo oil every year to keep you furniture in tip top condition.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where are the holes pre-drilled?

Depending on the length of your shelf the hole location will vary. All our shelves up to 120cm have two fixing holes spaced approx 60cm apart.

All shelves above 130cm will have 3 fixing holes spaced approx 60cm apart, which one central hole.

Please feel free to send us an email and we can let you know where the holes will be drilled for the length you are considering.

What length/depth options are available?

All our shelves are handmade to order so we can build our products to bespoke lengths.

Our floating shelves can be cut to any depth between 13cm and 22cm. We can cut our shelves to any length up to 200cm.

Can I install floating shelves on plasterboard walls?

Unfortunately we would not advise floating shelves on plasterboard walls. Our floating rods will not be able to support the shelf in plasterboard walls as the fixings can't be screwed into anything solid.

Our metal bracket shelves can be installed on plasterboard walls with the correct wall plugs though (see link below).

How do I return my order?

The return form will be inside the fitting instructions, just fill this out to ensure a speedy refund. The customer is responsible for the returns postage cost.
