Product Info

Two Box Frame Legs - Handmade steel powder-coated box legs made in England.

Fixing Strips - These steel fixing strips attach the wooden planks together.

Wood Screws - Your fixing pack will include 2 sets of screws for the legs & fixings strips.

3mm Drill Bit - Use our drill bit to ensure a quality fixing.

Fitting Instructions - Enclosed are our detailed instructions on how to assemble your piece of furniture along with an installation video.

We supply all the brackets & fixings you need for a quick, secure installation along with a step by step installation booklet.

Our Box Frame Legs are handmade in England, UK.

The metal legs have been cleaned & prepped along with a black powder-coated finish.

Our legs may vary slightly in colour & texture as they are handmade.

All our rustic furniture is supplied in flat pack form, assembly is simple & takes 15 minutes.

We do not pre-drill fixing holes in the furniture, this gives you the choice of leg placement.

The furniture planks are connected on the underside using our metal fixing strips & screw pack.

Materials

All of our sustainable wooden products are handcrafted from our workshop in West Sussex, England.

All our wood comes from 100% sustainably managed forests.

All our wood is Kiln Dried to a moisture content of under 10%.

We only use Northern Scandinavian Pine sourced from FSC-certified suppliers.

Every length of rustic timber is hand picked to preserve as many rustic characteristics as possible. These include unique grain patterns, rustic saw marks, wood splits & sanded edges which has now become our trademark style.

We recommend either keeping your outdoor garden furniture inside or under cover during the winter months to further protect the timber. We recommend sanding back any rough surfaces & applying a coat of Osmo oil every year to keep you furniture in tip top condition.

Wax Finish

We use an Osmo Oil Natural Woodstain finish on all our Outdoor Garden wooden products.

Offers a durable, long lasting finish & provides excellent weather protection.

The oil intensifies the grain pattern whilst protecting the timber.

UV filters protect against the greying effects of sunlight.

Contains active ingredients to protect against mould, algae and fungal attack.

Design Notes

Our Outdoor Garden Furniture is simple, unique and stylish. By using industrial box frame powder-coated steel coupled with rustic wood, we have created our own rustic modern styling that is functional, timeless and easy to install. The powder-coated steel legs offer tremendous strength and a minimalist style. All box frame furniture products come supplied with feet protectors, this helps with uneven flooring & the protection of any natural wooden decking or patios on your property. Each product is available in various sizes, allowing you to create the perfect space for family and friends to enjoy. Supplied in flat-pack form, assembly is easy and takes around 15 minutes. Our furniture is also just as easy to disassemble, giving you ultimate versatility when moving house or redecorating. This is especially useful at the end of the summer when packing away the outdoor furniture.We spend time developing our wooden products and packaging. Every product created always has to tick 3 boxes: Quality | Functionality | Sustainability... And yes it goes without saying all our furniture has to look amazing too! This has become the foundation of Ben Simpson Furniture! You can be sure that every product you receive has been designed and built with these elements in mind!

Our timber is kiln-dried, which greatly reduces the likelihood of excessive movement. However, due to the thickness and solid construction of our furniture planks, splits will occur during hot summer temperatures.

It's important to note that wood is a natural material and naturally expands and contracts with changes in weather. This characteristic is common in all solid wooden products of this size. Rest assured, the structural integrity of our furniture remains unaffected, and any splits that occur will naturally shrink as the weather cools down.

To address any potential sharp or splintered edges that may arise in extreme temperatures, we offer furniture care packs. These packs allow you to easily sand down any rough surfaces and ensure the furniture maintains its pristine condition.

Regardless of any timber movement, we recommend the regular practice of sanding rough areas and applying a protective coat of Osmo oil annually. This simple maintenance routine will keep your furniture in optimal condition for years to come.

Additionally, we advise safeguarding your outdoor garden furniture during the winter months by either storing it indoors or under a waterproof cover. These precautions will offer further protection to the timber, ensuring its longevity.
