Top Interior Design Instagram Accounts 2022

12 Minute Read

Instagram has become a source of visual inspiration for all kinds of things since it was launched in 2010, and people have used it as a platform to document their lives – including their personal style, their children growing up, and their homes. While you might not want to document your own home, or even post on Instagram at all yourself, it can be a great resource when you’re thinking about a renovation project. And the best thing? Just like Pinterest, Instagram allows you to save posts that you love, so that you can pull all your favourite ideas together quickly and easily.

We rounded up some of the top interior designers to follow, and in this post, we have collected some more of the best interior design Instagram accounts that are more down to earth – and most of these feature looks we can picture in our own homes.

Helen @homewithhelenandco

If you’re a huge fan of everything pastel and pink, then the @homewithhelenandco feed will be everything you’ve ever imagined for your home. With vintage inspired finds, on point styling using plants, and some hairpin leg furniture with a pretty pink finish, you’re sure to find the perfect looks to recreate in your home on this feed.

Elliott @molecule.designs

Elliott is an interior designer that is all about the details – and you’ll find super simple, uncluttered homes with shelf styling to suit that style on the @molecule.designs feed.

While the home décor options are sleek and lean towards the minimalist, we’re huge fans of Elliott’s Christmas decorations and mantel decorations. Well worth a follow!

Geri @overatno18

Bright colours and gallery walls are what this account is all about – and if you’re thinking about using a riot of colour in your home, you need to be following the @overatno18 account.

You’ll find makeovers for less than £350, a gorgeous patio, and clashing colours, with a few personal style posts in the mix too. We love the walls in the bedrooms – while they’re busy, they definitely give those rooms something extra.

Bhavin @bhavintaylordesign

Colour used in a more masculine way – even pink – is what you’ll find on the @bhavintaylordesign feed. There are some incredible wallpapers that we would never have picked out to try ourselves, but the finished effects are stunning, as well as soft furnishings in colours that clash perfectly.

Geneva @genevavanderzeil

If you love a good DIY project – and we’re not just talking redecorating your home – then you’ll want to be following @genevavanderzeil. A successful blogger and author of ‘Home Is Where You Make It’,

Geneva has always got a DIY project on the go – whether it is a fluted coffee table, a makeover of an existing cabinet, or creating a cosy tent bed for her daughter.

There is loads of inspiration on this account to get you making – we’re saving ideas even as we’re writing this post!

Roxanne @ourneutralground

We talked about Japandi décor on the blog recently for the love of the Scandinavian and Japanese styling in the home. The style has become a huge hit on Instagram, and unsurprisingly, there are plenty of accounts using the hashtag #japandi.

We love Roxanne’s account for her slow, calm, curated interior design – the looks are simple, with a mix of plants and art to add visual interest. You’ll also find the odd tutorial and product recommendation on the feed – we’re following!

Vintage Interiors @vintage__interiors

Some interior design should definitely be left in the past – carpets in the bathroom, for example! But there are some elements that could, and should be incorporated into modern homes.

If you’re of the same opinion, then the @vintage__interiors is definitely worth a follow. If you’re decorating a home with another person, there’s going to be some ‘marmite moments’ that will divide opinions, but it is well worth a follow, even if it is to share how awful some of the looks are.

Joanne @joannecondon

Small budgets for furniture doesn’t mean that you should have to make do with dated looks.

Changing the wood finish on a piece of furniture that is old, dated, or thrifted is one of the most effective and sustainable ways to reinvent a piece.

Joanne Condon describes herself as a furniture artist, and takes paint to charity shop furniture finds to create absolutely gorgeous new look. Definitely worth a look if you’re feeling creative, and want to make over an item that you already have.

Dreamy Whites Lifestyle @dreamywhiteslifestyle

There’s something incredibly chic about French farmhouse décor, non? If you agree and love the French take on the rustic country bedroom vibe, then you’ll love the @dreamywhiteslifestyle Instagram feed.

You’ll find a gorgeous mix of shabby chic, with vintage items and rustic décor details on this account – tres bien!

Ben Simpson Furniture @bensimpsonfurniture

Yeah, we’re including our own Instagram account here, and we’re not apologising for it! That’s because it is the place that we share posts that our customers share with us – and some of the styling we see is absolutely outstanding. We love to see those posts, and we’re certain that you’ll love them too, which is why, if you’re on Instagram, you should be following us @bensimpsonfurniture

Our final thoughts

These interior design Instagram accounts are great accounts to follow, but there are thousands more to uncover – and finding the best can take up a huge amount of your time! However, as you start to follow and like posts on accounts, the Instagram algorithm will start to show you more that you might like too, so you don’t have to spend hours trying to find the best.

Whether you’re choosing accounts to follow based on your personal taste in interior design, because you’re thinking of planning a renovation project, or you’re simply looking because you love browsing for inspiration, Instagram has a huge amount to offer.

When you’re adding accounts to follow, pop @bensimpsonfurniture in the search box and hit follow – especially if you’re going to be sharing posts with products from our range – and tag us when you do!
